LINCOLN — A lawyer who represented one of six people wrongly convicted in the rape-murder of a Beatrice woman testified Tuesday that he never doubted his mentally challenged client's confession.
Paul Korslund, now a district judge in Beatrice, was a private practice attorney in 1989 when he was appointed to represent Debra Shelden. It was his first murder case.
