Around and about: Irish Fest raises $455K for Catholic Charities

Traditional Irish spirit with a twist of dueling pianos made for smiling eyes at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Omaha's annual Irish Fest gala, Blazin' Shamrocks, on March 1.

More than 660 guests at the CenturyLink Center enjoyed auctions, performances by Omaha Pipes and Drums and the Craoi na Tire Irish Dancers, a raffle and the live interactive entertainment with The Blazin' Pianos. John Knicely served as master of ceremonies. Honorary chairmen were Molly and Toby Schropp. Jean and Jim Ambrose and Theresa and Bob Gunia were event chairmen.
