Girl power was the order of the day as Girls Inc. celebrated the 20th anniversary of Girls Nite Out at the Ramada Convention Center on Jan. 30.

Sponsored by the girlFRIENDS Guild, the event drew 460 people and raised $50,000 for Girls Inc.’s daily services, which provide counseling, safe transportation and access to computers. The programs at the facility are designed to help girls grow in health, independence, art, literacy, nutrition, fitness, and college and career preparation.
