CAIRO (AP) - Clashes raged around Cairo on Friday as supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi took the streets by the tens of thousands demanding his return to office. The violence started in the afternoon, when Islamist protesters marched on the Republican Guard headquarters in Cairo and troops guarding the facility opened fire.
After nightfall, a crowd of Morsi supporters marched across Cairo's 6th of October Bridge over the Nile River and attacked opponents of the ousted leader massed near central Tahrir Square and outside the state TV headquarters.
