We must have really liked the Waffle Taco.

After a test run in cities including Omaha, the handheld breakfast concoction from Taco Bell is now going to roll out to restaurants around the country, USA Today reports.

The Taco Bell breakfast menu also will include the A.M. Crunchwrap and bite-sized Cinnabon Delights, along with items such as oatmeal and yogurt parfaits that are pitched as “better for you.”

Meanwhile, McDonald’s is figuring out how it can expand its breakfast hours, welcome news for anyone who has ever tried to order an Egg McMuffin at 10:31 a.m. and had to have a cheeseburger for breakfast instead.

Breakfast is a challenge for fast food restaurants -- traditional breakfast foods aren't as easy for consumers to hold in their hand while driving. Taco Bell is trying to figure out how to make pancakes portable, for instance. Did you try a waffle taco during Omaha's test run? Have you made Taco Bell part of your breakfast routine? And how did you eat it in the car without getting syrup all over your lap, anyway?
