UNO’s graduate and undergraduate accounting program has received its first accreditation from the Association to Advance College Schools of Business of Tampa, Fla.

The association accredits 681 business schools in 45 countries and 179 accounting programs. That’s fewer than 5 percent of business programs, the association said.

UNO has held the accreditation for its bachelor of science in business administration degree since 1965 and its MBA program since 1980.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s undergraduate and graduate accounting programs also are accredited by the association.
