>> Three Google Glass headsets will be available to try out at this week’s Infotec conference — a two-day annual event for Omaha-area technology professionals and students.

The headsets are on loan to Infotec for the conference Tuesday and Wednesday at the CenturyLink Center Omaha.

>> The “Explorer” version of Google Glass on Tuesday will become publicly available without a special invitation for the first time. Orders can be placed online beginning at 8 a.m. CDT Tuesday, and the headsets will cost $1,500.

The sale will take place at google.com/glass/start/how-to-get-one.

Google isn’t saying how many sets of Glass will be available during the limited-time offer.
