Car enthusiasts will show off their rides at the Midtown Car Show on three Sundays this summer and early fall.

Vintage cars and trucks, project cars, hot rods and more will be displayed May 19, June 16 and September 15 at Midtown Crossing.

Midtown and Farnam Street have a historic significance for car lovers. The stretch of Farnam that runs through the development today was once part of the original Lincoln Highway, the nation’s first paved transcontinental road. The Highway celebrates its 100th anniversary in June.

“I’ve always been a fan of the highway. I remember taking it for our family vacations to anywhere west. That was before Interstate 80,” said coordinator Tom Johnson in a statement. Johnson is working on a special acknowledgement of the highway’s centennial anniversary for the June 16 show.
