Chatterkick, a social media and online marketing agency based in Sioux City, was recognized for its first-year growth with the “Growing Sioux City” award on Friday.

The downtown Sioux City firm has grown to employ two full-time and two part-time employees, all under 35, and has trained more than eight interns. The company is also expanding again and is hiring for several positions.

Chatterkick’s CEO and co-founder Beth Trejo accepted the award from Mayor Bob Scott. She also received a certificate for a tree to be planted in the company’s name, signifying its commitment to growing in Sioux City.

“Beth is a great example of the young entrepreneurial spirit we have in Sioux City,” Scott said. “Chatterkick’s growth proves that our community has the talented workforce to support new and innovative tech startups.”
