Don’t let identity thieves discover your out-of-date personal documents.

TS Bank is hosting a document-shredding event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hy-Vee on 2323 W. Broadway in Council Bluffs. Shred Safe Co. will be on the north side of the Hy-Vee parking lot.

The event is part of Money Smart Week, a national program focused on helping consumers better manage their finances.

“TS Bank believes in educating the community with financial literacy,” spokeswoman Jenna Katskee said.

Participants can shred any quantity of documents and paper, learn about personal security, and enjoy a free brunch served in the store from 11 a.m. to noon.

Reservations for the brunch are required by Thursday online at tsbsecuritybrunch.eventbrite.com or by calling (712) 487-3000.
