Red Mango fans in Omaha and Lincoln will have to find a new frozen yogurt spot.

At least for now.

Originally, a customer service coordinator in the chain's corporate office mistakenly said that all Nebraska locations closed Oct. 20. However, the Grand Island and Kearney stores remain open.

And the Lincoln and Omaha locations are temporarily closed with hopes of reopening soon, a spokeswoman said.

The local franchisee, Bret Cain, had not returned messages for comment as of Wednesday afternoon.

The chain had three locations in Omaha: in One Pacific Place, the Shops at Legacy and north downtown at 13th and Cuming Streets.

Omaha's first Red Mango opened in the summer of 2010 amid a spate of growth in frozen yogurt shops locally.
