Construction of the Pavilion at Turner Park across from Midtown Crossing advanced with the recent addition of the “SaddleSpan” fabric canopy.

The pavilion, designed to help nonprofit organizations hold free performances in the park, is scheduled to be completed by the first Jazz on the Green concert July 11.

The pavilion will provide a permanent, 44-by-24-foot stage, expandable to 54 feet by 48 feet, a concrete area for dancing and a staging area. The roof structure will feature LED lighting effects.

Holland Basham Architects is the designer and Project Advocates the builder on the project, which is being funded by private donations through the Omaha Community Foundation.
