The Orchard 4 Theater near 132nd Street and West Center Road, which closed in 2000, is now rubble.

The structure was demolished by Slosburg Co., which owns the land and plans to develop it eventually, said Leigh Andres, Slosburg's commercial marketing manager.

“There are no immediate plans for development for that site,” Andres said.

She said that with the building's poor condition, demolition made the most sense.

Slosburg also demolished the Loveland Shopping Center at 90th Street and West Center Road in late 2011. A new strip center — Loveland Centre — is currently under construction on the property, with plans for a mix of upscale restaurants, specialty boutiques and service retailers.

Andres said there are a handful of tenants the company is working with, but she declined to identify them. The center is expected to be completed by late spring.
