H&M is an oft-mentioned store on Nebraska shoppers' wish list. It can be a long haul to the nearest H&M stores, located in Kansas City, Mo., and Denver, and until this week the Swedish retailer, which offers fashion apparel for men, women and children and home decor, did not have an online store.

That changed Thursday when the company, which was founded in 1947, launched its e-commerce site at www.hm.com.

H&M, which currently operates about 300 stores in North America, has tapped Nebraska resident Sarah Lorsung Tvrdik to be one of its style bloggers. H&M has chosen 50 “Fashion Ambassadors,” one from each U.S. state, to help mark the launch of its new online store.

Tvrdik and Megan Hunt co-own Hello Holiday, an Omaha-based women's clothing and accessories e-commerce store at hello-holiday.com.
