I'm Home Furnishings, a new home furniture store that specializes in reclaimed wood furniture, will open at 9 a.m. Saturday at 4923 S. 72nd St. in Omaha.

“Instead of throwing away the wood that's harvested from an old barn, it can be made into custom dining tables, coffee tables and other furnishings,” salesman Todd Braunersrither said.

The new store will offer custom-built furniture, leather and upholstered sofas, chairs, area rugs, lighting and artwork. It also offers Amish-built solid wood furniture made without power tools and available in a variety of finishes, salesman Joey Oswald said.

Customers are invited to select the wood, finish and hardware for custom pieces and add desired details to in-store items.

The store also will sell flooring, including hardwood, carpet and tile, and provide installation services throughout greater Omaha and Lincoln. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
