What could be easier than ordering beef online?

How about roasting it without having to thaw it, season it, or even touch it?

Omaha Steaks this week launched a line of “">1-Step Rapid Roast” products that are designed to make cooking and entertaining easier for customers, senior vice president Todd Simon said. The home chef can take the roast right out of the freezer and pop it in the oven.">The line includes preseasoned roasts including a teriyaki pork tenderloin, beef brisket, and chateaubriand. Omaha Steaks said the meat roasts in a plastic bag that cuts cooking time by more than 50 percent.

Convenience is the driving force behind changes in the American diet, whether it's restaurant meals or meals prepared at home, NPD Group analyst Harry Balzer told Yahoo! Finance.
