Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation has launched a website to connect job-seeking people who have disabilities with employers looking to hire.

The website outlines services available to businesses partnering with Nebraska VR, features comments from businesses that have found Nebraska VR to be effective, and provides local contact information for employment specialists around the state.

“The website reflects the progressive approach we take in building relationships with businesses to place clients of Nebraska VR,” said Jim Coyle, director of employment, Nebraska VR.

“With unemployment rates so low, our untapped resource of prescreened clients can be invaluable to employers. Plus, we are here to support the employer and employee after the hire to build a successful relationship for both the individual and business.”

Nebraska’s unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in January.
