Millard Refrigerated Services has sold its two Canadian facilities.

The refrigerated warehousing and distribution services company based in Omaha announced in early June that the private equity group of Brookfield Asset Management had acquired its facilities in Brampton, Ontario, and Calgary, Alberta. Terms were not disclosed.

Millard said in a statement that it will use the funds from the sale to focus on customers in the U.S. and invest in warehousing opportunities and value-added solutions. The company, which employs about 160 people in Nebraska and 215 in Iowa, has 34 cold storage facilities across the U.S.

In May we wrote about the company's 50th anniversary.
