San Antonio-based franchise business Massage Heights plans to develop five “retreats” in Omaha and Lincoln over the next year, creating 125 jobs, said Trisha McFadden, regional developer for Iowa and Nebraska.

People who want to learn more about the business model can attend an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Hyatt Place Omaha/Downtown-Old Market hotel.

Massage Heights has more than 100 operating locations and plans to open 500 more in the next five years.

The retreats are operated on a membership model and provide therapeutic massage services and skin treatments.
