Paul and Carol Jean Koch will host an opening party from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at their Painted Camel art gallery, 320 Main St. in Macedonia, Iowa.

The gallery exhibits and sells works by regional artists and offers pottery classes. The Kochs renovated the 1895 building, which had been vacant for a decade and originally was Hacket’s Cafe.

The couple moved from New York to Omaha in 1972 and then to rural Iowa in 1989.
