Omaha’s population has expanded by about 2,500 as people from across the country are converging here Wednesday through Sunday for the USA Hockey High School National Championship Tournament.

More than 30 teams, the best in high school hockey, from states including Florida, New York, California and Texas are in town with family and fans for the five-day competition playing out at the Ralston Arena and Moylan Iceplex, said the Omaha Convention & Visitors Bureau.
