Group forms for women in insurance, financial services

Women in Insurance and Financial Services is forming a Nebraska chapter.

The 75-year-old group’s mission is to attract, develop and advance the careers of women in the insurance and financial services industry. It has more than 30 local chapters and 1,000 members and hosts a national conference and other activities.

The organization, based in Albany, N.Y., will hold a free informational luncheon at 11 a.m. May 15 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Lincoln’s Haymarket district, hosted by Ameritas.

The luncheon theme is “Does the Shoe Fit?”
