Regus, a worldwide provider of flexible workplaces, is opening up its local business lounges — free of charge — on Friday, April 19.

That's the eve of Earth Day, and the move is touted as helping to save gas and reduce emissions by allowing workers to skip commutes into work for one day and to work from Regus instead.

Unnecessary carbon emissions, wasted time and loss of productivity are among the negatives of a lengthy car ride into work, Regus officials said in a press release.

Regus has a 17,000-square-foot center at Linden Place, 14301 First National Bank Parkway.
