About 1,500 people, most from outside of Omaha, will converge on the CenturyLink Center Sept. 12-14 for the Affiliated Foods Midwest food show.

Affiliated Foods is a cooperative owned by independent grocers in 16 Midwestern states. The Norfolk, Neb.-based cooperative has three distribution centers, in Kansas, Wisconsin and Nebraska.

The show is a chance for grocers to buy in quantity from vendors.

About 15 percent of the attendees are from Omaha and the rest are from outside the city. The show is not open to the public.
