Downtown Omaha building demolished after roof failure
The building at 2584 Harney Street is no more. Crews demolished it after the roof failed, and have since filled in the basement. Now visible is the graffiti that used to be inside the building.

Perhaps you noticed something missing on the drive down Harney Street to downtown Omaha.
A 17,000-square-foot brick structure at 2584 Harney Street has been demolished after roof failure led to a collapse, said Jerry Reimer of Midtown Properties LLC, which owns the property.
Reimer said the warehouse, which was at the end of a strip of commercial buildings, is not likely to be replaced in the near future.
A company called 1-800-GOT-JUNK had been renting the space. There are no plans to rebuild at this time, Reimer said. The land will sit vacant for now.
“It wasn't a pleasant event,” Reimer said.
