Wag, a store dedicated to all things dog, including grooming, has moved.

The store opened at its previous spot one door down from Film Streams' Ruth Sokolof Theater on 13th Street in the summer of 2011. It made the move this month and opened in its new location at 24th and Harney Streets Monday into a 99-year-old building that has undergone extensive renovation, building owner Ben Swan said.

The space features 14-foot exposed brick walls, original windows with brick archways, high-contrast oak floors in a chevron pattern and a customized dog grooming bay.

The grooming side of the business is expanding, owner Eryn Wisdom said, and the business needed more space for it and a new endeavor coming later this summer or early fall: doggie daycare.

“It will be a small capacity daycare where we really get to know our clients and their dogs,” Wisdom said.

Wag also sells natural pet foods, leashes and collars, treats, toys and other pet-related gifts.
