Creighton University debuted its authorized Apple reseller — iJay — Friday.

The store inside the Harper Center, 602 N. 20th St., will sell to Creighton faculty, staff and students everything a regular Apple store sells except for iPhones, said business Professor Tim P. McMahon, who helped get the store up and running. A grand opening event for students Aug. 28 will include prizes and discounts.

In January, the store will be incorporated into a practicum course for upper-level business students who will help run the store for class credit. For now, a manager with previous Apple experience and 10 students have been hired.

“It’s a pretty one-stop shop in that respect, so it’s kind of convenient to have it right in a place where students are going to classes,” McMahon said.
