Watching an eagle grow up may not be as exciting as tracking elephants in person, but Mutual of Omaha's bird's-eye view of one family of bald eagles is live, in color and with sound.

The Omaha insurance company's cameras show two views -- side and top -- of an eagle's nest in Colorado at

Naturalist Jim Fowler, who co-hosted the original Wild Kingdom TV series, said the “Wild Cam” gives viewers a real-time connection with the eagles.

Monday afternoon, the two adult birds sat in the nest looking around, apparently covering the eggs they hope to hatch this spring.

The cameras will stay focused on the nest while the young eagles learn to fly themselves, if all goes according to plans.
