The Dillard’s store at Oak View Mall is partnering with the University of Nebraska Medical Center to raise money for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, a comprehensive cancer research and treatment center now under construction on the west side of the university’s medical center.

Dillard’s will host an exclusive three-hour shopping event Dec. 1 for employees and family of the medical center: 11,000 invitations have been sent.

The store will close Dec. 1 at 6 p.m., its regular Sunday closing time, and reopen from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Dillard’s will donate 10 percent of the evening’s proceeds to the cancer center, which is to be completed in 2016.
