Plan on taking an early lunch on Friday if you want tickets for this year’s Big Omaha conference on entrepreneurship and innovation.
A limited allotment of tickets for the event, scheduled for May 7-9 at KANEKO, will be made available at 11 a.m. Feb. 14 for $399. A second round of tickets will be made available at a later date, but they’ll cost more, and event organizers expect tickets to go fast.
So far, three speakers have been confirmed for the event: Laura Weidman Powers, co-founder of CODE2040, a nonprofit geared toward opening doors for minorities in the technology and engineering fields; Eric Ryan, co-founder of Method, which sells more than $100 million of environmentally friendly cleaning products each year; and Ryan Freitas, co-founder of about.me, a web hosting service that links users’ social media pages and other relevant websites.
Silicon Prairie News, which is producing Big Omaha, is hosting a social Thursday night to announce a fourth speaker ahead of an official launch of this year’s BigOmaha.com site and another announcement of speakers for this year’s event on Friday morning.
