Benson-based online clothing retailer Hello Holiday will host an open house for Omaha customers tonight (Thursday).

From 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., local shoppers will be able to browse new styles and try on clothing, shoes and accessories at the Hello Holiday offices at 6207 Maple St., above Lot 2 and Krug Park. Cocktails and doughnuts will be served.

Megan Hunt, who founded Hello Holiday with Sarah Lorsung Tvrdik last year, said she and Tvrdik had planned from the beginning to have periodic open houses to give local customers a chance to see the merchandise before they buy it. The company had a similar event just before Valentine’s Day, and future open houses are planned.

“Sometimes that’s what it takes to fall in love with an item, and it’s been great for our sales,” Hunt said in an email.

Hello Holiday, which opened for business Oct. 1, features party dresses, work attire, outerwear, plus-sized clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories, as well as some vintage items. Some of their apparel is made by independent designers. Their target demographic is women between the ages of 25 and 35.
