Batteries Plus Bulbs is now open in a new strip shopping center near 72nd Street and Centennial Road in Papillion. The store will sell more than 45,000 different types of batteries and light bulbs.

Local franchise owner Mary Pelach, who opened her first store 20 years ago, said she relocated from northwest Omaha to Papillion because it's a fast-growing community and she already had customers in the area.

The new building, south of the Papillion Pizza Ranch, will also house a Firehouse Subs and a Beauty Brands store.
