American National Bank gave him just one day's notice. Buddy Hogan went home and practiced.
Then Hogan, a personal banker, got to work at 7:30 the next morning and danced for three and a half hours.
This is the result:
Their boss even got in on it: The guy in the Waldo costume is branch manager Ryan Ames.
Hogan, 27, said he was asked to lead the dance because he's known for his happy personality -- he sometimes dances and sings around the office to cheer people up.
Working at a bank is more fun than people might realize, Hogan said.
He grew up in Omaha and started working at the bank as a teller when he was 19.
“When I was younger, I told myself, I want to work somewhere where I wear a tie, and I want to help people,” he said. “I like just connecting with everybody and helping solve problems. It just makes me feel good.”
Since the bank put the video on its Facebook page and on YouTube, people have been telling Hogan it made their day.
“We always work hard and everything, so we just thought we should have a little fun,” he said.
