Corporate travel agency Travel and Transport, which is headquartered in Omaha, has partnered with Metropolitan Community College to create an Associate in Applied Science degree with a focus on corporate travel management.

Students who complete the program will be guaranteed a job interview with Travel and Transport for a corporate travel counselor position.

The program offers those interested in the travel industry a way to prepare for entry-level positions as travel counselors. It aims to train more than 30 travel professionals annually for jobs within Travel and Transport.

Online and classroom courses that will be offered by Travel and Transport include more than 290 instructional hours on topics such as geography, reservation processes and operation. Classes will be supplemented by coursework at MCC.

Founded in 1946, Travel and Transport, Inc., is the fifth largest travel management company in the U.S., specializing in corporate travel management, vacation travel, group and meeting travel and loyalty programs. The company has locations in 38 states.
