Abelardo's Mexican Food will be opening a new location in midtown Omaha, near 35th and Center Streets. The location used to be a Valentino's Pizza, and owner Abelardo Gonzalez said he hopes it will be open by summer.

Gonzalez runs the restaurant with his wife and brother, and he said the family-owned chain also recently opened a location in Ralston, on 108th Street between L and Q Streets. That location also used to be a Valentino's.

The restaurant has a location north of 90th and Maple Streets, a drive-through location on 180th and Pacific Streets and a south Omaha location at 31st and Q Streets.
