Quilt found in church basement going to museum at UNL
The 1898 quilt, made as a fundraiser for the First Unitarian Church, is going to the International Quilt Study Center & Museum in Lincoln. But first, it will be on display at the church, 3114 Harney St., this Saturday and Sunday.

Yvonne Price found the quilt — her own Holy Grail — in a blue paper sack in the bottom of a box in the basement of First Unitarian Church.
She remembered seeing the 1898 signature quilt 30 to 35 years ago. She also recalled attending a 1950s or ’60s lecture about the quilt.
