Poetry Out Loud appeals to variety of students

Poetry Out Loud is another program playing a big part in promoting poetry in schools, said Anne Alston of the Nebraska Arts Council.
The competition was introduced by the National Endowment for the Arts to promote poetry as an oral art form. Nebraska hopped on board about nine years ago, Alston said.
