Grant helps alliance improve living conditions for city's youths
Shannon Melton uses a vacuum to collect a sample looking for allergens in a home at 510 Jaynes Street on April 4. Melton, a Healthy Home Specialist, was giving the home a healthy home inspection. The children of the home have asthma and they working to eliminate some of the triggers.

Marilynn Martinez and her brother Divad were missing a lot of school. Officials said their parents, Maria and Cesar, were lying that asthma attacks kept the kids at home.
On top of that, their 5-year-old son, Yerek, was showing signs of developing asthma, too.
