Jim Beatty snaps open the kind of metal briefcase that in the movies would be holding money, or a bomb.
“I almost hate to touch it,” says Beatty, chairman of the board and president of the Great Plains Black History Museum, as he reaches inside and grabs something that is neither money nor a bomb.
