For World Book Night, some Omahans prepare to hand out free reads
World Book Night is seen as a way to reach out to nonreaders or people who don’t own any books: Simply, people who love books would hand them out to people who don’t.

Book lovers may not understand it, but there are a lot of people in the world who don’t read much and have never owned a book. But that could change for some of them Wednesday.
April 23 is World Book Night. There is a good chance you’ve never heard of it, but the celebration has been growing ever since it was started in London in 2010.
