The Blue Barn Theatre will bookend its 25th season with two Tony-winning contemporary plays, Yasmina Reza's “God of Carnage” from 2009 and Moises Kaufman's “33 Variations” from 2011.

“God of Carnage,” which runs Sept. 26-Oct. 18, centers on two high-strung professional couples meeting to discuss a playground altercation between their two young sons. The conversation devolves from politeness and political correctness into character assassination. The play became a movie, “Carnage,” in 2011. Reza won the best-play Tony for this play and for 1998's “Art.”
