4-0 U.S. women move into semis

Kazan, Russia — Nebraska’s Jordan Hooper had two points and two rebounds as the U.S. women cruised to a 103-72 victory against Sweden in the World University Games quarterfinals Friday.

The 6-foot-2 senior forward from Alliance hit her lone basket in the first quarter to give the United States squad a 22-16 lead with 2:58 left in the opening period. Hooper, a two-time All-American and All-Big Ten selection for the Huskers, added an assist and a steal in nine minutes to help the Americans improve to 4-0.
