Record vault springs NU to its third straight title

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Headed into its fourth and final rotation Saturday, Nebraska needed a stellar performance in the vault to overtake Michigan for the Big Ten championship.

The Huskers delivered a program-record 49.725 to surpass the Wolverines for Nebraska’s third consecutive conference title. Four Huskers — Hollie Blanske, Jessie DeZiel, Janelle Giblin and Brittany Skinner — earned scores of 9.95 to tie for top honors on the event. NU’s Emily Wong posted a 9.925 en route to her second straight Big Ten all-around title.
