LINCOLN — Alex Lewis, the offensive lineman who announced on Friday his plan to transfer from Colorado to Nebraska, remained in a Boulder, Colo., jail late Monday afternoon on second-degree assault charges stemming from an alleged drunken 3 a.m fight that left one man “badly injured,” according to a police report.

But Lewis’ lawyer told a Boulder newspaper that the altercation had been blown out of proportion and that Lewis may have been harassed because he was wearing Husker gear.
