LINCOLN — Nebraska players Ernest Suttles and Thomas Brown were dismissed from the Husker football program Thursday, six days after a fight involving teammates broke out at a house party in Lincoln.

Lincoln Police cited and released Suttles Wednesday on suspicion of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, in connection with a June 21 altercation at a residence in the 7200 block of Dorchester Court in Lincoln. Suttles used a bottle to strike sophomore linebacker David Santos in the head, causing a cut to his forehead, according to the police report.
