Penn State gets creative with limited roster
Penn State coach Bill O'Brien has limited tackling in practice to avoid injuries to his reduced roster. “We want guys playing on their feet and moving their feet to get in position to make a tackle or catch a pass,” O'Brien said. “That's how a high-quality football player practices.''

Few will ever question Bill O'Brien's toughness or the tough-mindedness of his Penn State football team.
In his first season, amid a whirlwind of change and emotion brought about by severe NCAA sanctions, O'Brien was voted Big Ten coach of the year and the Nittany Lions won eight of 12 games.
