NU facilities renamed for pair
The Nebraska baseball practice facility will be renamed for former Husker star Alex Gordon, who recently made a $1 million donation to the facility.

LINCOLN — The University of Nebraska Board of Regents voted 7-0 Friday to rename the baseball practice facility the “Alex Gordon Training Complex” and the new volleyball court at revamped the Devaney Center “Terry Pettit Court.”
Now a left fielder for the Kansas City Royals, Gordon was an All-Nebraska player at Lincoln Southeast and an All-America third baseman at NU. He and wife Jamie Gordon recently made a $1 million donation to the facility, which provides an indoor training area for the baseball and softball teams.
