Notes: Zaire Anderson expects bigger role against Bruins
Linebacker Zaire Anderson, center, says he expects a bigger role this weekend against UCLA after limited play the first two weeks. “I'm more of a run stopper. This game this week is a little better. ... I think I'll have a huge role this game,” he said.

LINCOLN — Nebraska linebacker Zaire Anderson — whom coaches said had one of the strongest spring camps — had little playing time in NU's season-opening win over Wyoming. He didn't like it, and put in more prep time for the Southern Mississippi game. Heading into Saturday's game with UCLA, Anderson expects to have a bigger role.
“I'm playing a bunch in the UCLA game,” Anderson said. “We're just competing through the week, me and Nate.”
