LINCOLN — Nebraska basketball player Deverell Biggs will be suspended for an undetermined number of games next season as punishment for a December driving-under-the-influence arrest, coach Tim Miles said Thursday.
Biggs, a junior out of Omaha Central, pleaded no contest to the charge Thursday morning and was sentenced to nine months probation and fined $300. Judge Jeffrey Marcuzzo also ordered a six-month license revocation, mandatory alcohol-education classes and abstinence from alcohol for six months.
