Martinez, Huskers going slow with toe
Bo Pelini said Taylor Martinez, center, is “improving daily” from turf toe. But the coach isn't sure about the quarterback's status, meaning Tommy Armstrong, right, and Ron Kellogg could see more time. “We're going to continue to kind of go business as usual with Tommy and Ron until Taylor tells us he's 100 percent,” Pelini said.

LINCOLN — Coach Bo Pelini said the Huskers will take it slow with quarterback Taylor Martinez as the senior recovers from turf toe.
Nebraska returned to practice Tuesday after two days off. The Huskers have a bye this week before starting Big Ten play against Illinois on Oct. 5.
